Montague Township is a rural community located in Western Michigan. Boasting diverse scenery including the White River, White Lake, residential developments and rich farm land, Montague Township is a great place to visit and a greater place to live!

The township has four parks available to the public. The township hall and park pavilions are available for rental to township residents.

Township Board Meetings
The Montague Township Board meets the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7:00 pm, at the Montague Township Hall on Whitbeck Road. If you have an issue or question you would like to see on the agenda, please contact the Clerk at least 5 days before the meeting. The meetings are always open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Considering Red Pine Forestry Management
In Montague Township, as common in West Michigan, we have stands of red pine trees. There are two locations on Township land – at Clear Springs Nature Preserve and at the SE corner of Whitbeck and Skeels Roads – that have come to our attention. These pines are dying, and there is no remedy to save them.

Activities at the Whitehall VAC (Viking Athletic Center)
Interested in participating in activities or walking at the new Whitehall VAC Center?  Part of the Senior Millage that is collected by the County, comes back to us, and this is one of the ways we can help. Just stop in to the White Lake Senior Center, and you can get a pass to enter – up to 20 visits – for free. Applies to Montague Township residents only, age 60 and over. Enjoy!
